Meet the BCMH High Holiday Chazzanim

Rabbi Shua Rose

Cantor for Mussaf

British born Rabbi Shua Rose studied at Yeshivas Mercaz Hatorah, Ner Israel Rabbinical College and received semicha from Rav Zalman Nechemiah Goldberg. Rabbi Rose studies psychology in the University of Maryland and holds a Masters and Bachelors in Judaic Studies along with a Bachelors in Talmudic Law. Rabbi Rose was the Head counselor of Camp Sdei Chemed International for many years, and went on to direct Project Build in Baltimore. Formerly a radio show host on Shalom FM in London, Rabbi Rose is a sought after Baal Tefillah and musician, whose soul-stirring kumzitzes have been heard internationally. Rabbi Rose just moved to Los Angeles, California with his family from Jerusalem, Israel, where he had been teaching in Yeshivas Or Sameach for the last 9 years. He now holds the position of NCSY LA City Director

Rabbi Rafi Mollot

Cantor for Schacharis

Rabbi Rafi Mollot and his family joined the Seattle Jewish community in 2013. Aside from his full-time teaching position at Torah Day School, Rafi quickly became involved with communal life at BCMH. Before long, Rafi became a frequent leader of Shabbos and Holiday services, and currently serves as BCMH’s part-time Chazan. Rafi has been leading High Holiday services at BCMH since 2015. Rafi Mollot strives to imbue synagogue services with melody and meaning, leading the congregation to engage actively and joyfully along a spiritual journey through the medium of prayer.
