BCMH YOUTH IN CONJUNCTION WITH CAMPS YAVNEH, YAVNEH KITAN AND GAN SHALOM, are hosting an end of the summer bash for KIDS, SUN., AUG. 17th, 1:00 – 3:00 pm, at BCMH Campus (5145 S Morgan Street / $10 per Person for Food and Fun!

BBQ menu: Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Chips, Soda and Popsicles

Featuring: Video Gaming Truck, Moon Bounce with Slide for little ones, Cub Scouts Activity and a few fun surprises! This event is open to the kids of the community – whether you attended one of our camps or not.

Have a boy entering 1st – 6th grade? Want to get outside with other boys?

Join our summer hikes! No Cub Scout membership necessary. Parents and siblings welcome. We will meet in the BCMH parking lots at 1:30pm. Return times will vary depending on our destination.

JULIE’S PROGRAM CORNER

Hi everyone! Camps are slowly winding down but what a fantastic summer we had here at BCMH! Lots of campers, hard-working camp directors and counselors and TONS OF FUN!! So it is only fitting that you come with your kids this Sunday, August 17th, 1:00 – 3:00 pm, at BCMH, to celebrate our first ever End of Summer Bash for KIDS! This event is open to all of the kids in the community whether they attended camp here or not! $10/per person for food and fun: delicious bbq, Seattle NCSY will be handing out cotton candy and popcorn, a martial arts demo at 1:00 pm by Macabee Martial Arts, gaming truck (full of every video game imaginable!), moon bounce with slide and Cub Scouts Troop 613′s Treasure Quest. We hope to see you there! Event will go on rain or shine.

The High Holidays are almost here and our big BCMH HH mailing will be going out soon…

Our Sukkah Hop is already planned! Details will be available soon of all of the great programs we have coming up this fall.

TALMUD CLASS WITH RABBI MOSHE KLETENIK, MONDAY EVENINGS, 8:00 PM  

Rabbi Kletenik teaches an Intermediate Level Talmud Class at his home, 6527 52nd AVE S, Monday evenings at 8:00 pm. Tractate Avodah Zarah is studied in depth. Relevant topics include the Laws of Idolatry including the Halachic status of contemporary religions and houses of worship; the prohibition of lifnei iveir, assisting or abetting the commission of a sin; laws of tarovos, mixtures of permitted and forbidden foods; Chalav Yisroel; Gevinas Akum, cheese made b y a non-Jew; Pas Akum, bread baked by a non-Jew; Stam Yainam, wine of a non-Jew.

THE SHABBOS PROJECT, OCTOBER 24 & 25

This project was made last year by Rabbi Warren Goldstein, Chief Rabbi of South Africa, to unite and keep one Shabbat together in South Africa. Daniel Cohen, a recent graduate of Northwest Yeshiva High School is involved in bringing “The Shabbos Project” to Seattle on October 24 & 25 along with a committee of community members. The two main aspects of the project are a community Challah Bake and Shabbat Kits which will need funding. The campaign for this funding ends August 31st.
